World AIDS Day 2021 “40 Years of HIV, where to next?” – online from 9am
Please join us to acknowledge, reflect and learn for World AIDS Day 2021.
The theme this year is ’40 Years of HIV: Where To Next’ , which acknowledges that people living with HIV are not forgotten and that we continue in our efforts toward the prevention of HIV, the removal of barriers to testing and treatment, and access to services without judgement and stigma.
The day’s events will be streamed live and begin with the opening address by The Hon Martin Foley, Victorian Minister for Health & The Hon Harriet Shing, Parliamentary Secretary for Equality followed by a panel discussion, community forum and HIVE World AIDS Day Symposium 2021.
Presented by Living Positive Victoria and Positive Women Victoria. Supported by Thorne Harbour Health.

World AIDS Day Memorial Candlelight Vigil – online – 6pm (AEDT)
Join online on Wednesday December 1 for the annual World AIDS Day Memorial to commemorate the many lives from our communities that have been lost as a result of the HIV and AIDS epidemic. The World AIDS Day Remembrance Ceremony continues to offer an opportunity to remember all those we have loved and lost.
Featuring The Commissioner for LGBTIQ+ Communities, Todd Fernando and Luke Gallagher with performances by the acclaimed, Rachel Trevorrow Dunham, Gilbert Douglas, Jon Jackson and the Melbourne Gay and Lesbian Chorus.
The World AIDS Day Memorial event is a collaborative effort undertaken by Thorne Harbour Health, Living Positive Victoria, the AIDS Memorial Quilt Project, the Catholic AIDS Ministry and Positive Women Victoria.
