HIV priorities in care – Findings shared by Alfred Health online sessions

Recently Positive Women members took part in a community conversation with Alfred Health on the needs and priorities for HIV care.

The response is already shaping the next generation of care, and before anything is finalised Alfred Health wants to make sure women living with HIV have been heard correctly.

Alfred Health HIV Services Director, Professor Jenny Hoy says the findings of Alfred Health’s broad HIV community discussion have helped determine the shape of future care.

The community identified ageing, long-term impacts of treatment, access to medication, mental health, and stigma as their main health priorities for future care.
