HIV Futures 10 ‘QUALITY OF LIFE’ results released for 2022

HIV Futures 10 is a study of quality of life among people living with HIV in Australia. Nearly 10% of the 816 people who completed the study were women including five transgender women.
Just over 50% reported overall wellbeing to be ‘good’ or ‘excellent’ with 98% on ARV treatment (95% had an undetectable viral load) and 81% were happy with their current HIV medications.
The main source of income for 30% of respondents was social security with 32% living in private rental, while nearly 50% owned their home (with or without a mortgage), and 12% lived in public housing.
