Here To Help You During Extended COVID-19 Lockdown

02/09/2021

With the  COVID-19  lockdown restrictions extended for Greater Melbourne as announced by the Victorian Government on 2/9/21,  PWV are still unable to provide face-to-face peer support.

However, the PWV peer support team are available to all women living with HIV by phone, email, text or online.  We are here to help you, so if you need any support please contact us.

From the Victorian Government: Due to the ongoing level of community transmission and the continued number of unlinked cases popping up across the state, Victoria’s Chief Health Officer has declared that almost all of the current lockdown restrictions will remain in place until 70 per cent of Victorians have had at least one dose of vaccine. This is estimated to be around 23 September.

The PWV office will remain closed until further notice, but all PWV staff will continue to work from home. We will keep you updated as further announcements are made by the Victorian Government.

Vaccination centres and GP medical clinics continue to provide COVID vaccinations and we encourage you to consider vaccination. Talk to your GP or you can find details about  vaccination centres here.

With best wishes from the team at PWV.
