A Stigma Reduction Toolkit For The Victorian Healthcare Workforce

A new anti-stigma toolkit is now available. The Australian Research Centre in Sex, Health and Society (ARCSHS) of La Trobe University has produced a practical and affirming resource with a long, descriptive title, Reducing stigma and discrimination associated with blood-borne viruses and sexually transmissible infections: A stigma reduction toolkit for the Victorian healthcare workforce. While the toolkit offers strategies for healthcare services to reduce stigma, it may also be a handy reference for the community to read through and think about what stigma actually is, how it manifests in the healthcare setting and how it affects people living with HIV.
