Immigration law and policy can be complicated and changes frequently. In this webinar hosted by Positive Women Victoria, special guests David Carter and Rhys Evans from HIV+Law, who are experienced in immigration law, they answer immigration questions and outline current policies relating to health-related regulations and the different immigration visa options available. David and Rhys also share practical advice on preparing your application and presenting your health information and how HALC can assist you.
The HIV AIDS Legal Centre (HALC) is a not-for-profit, specialist community legal centre, and the only one of its kind in Australia.
If you have not done so already, we recommend that you read HALC’s Positive Migration Guide on immigration for people with HIV, their family members and others who fail the health criteria for an Australian visa. It will also be useful to anyone who seeks to come to Australia and who fails the health criteria on the grounds of them posing a significant cost to Australia.
