Learn about latest research for HIV treatments and HIV cure
Venue: Zoom Online webinar hosted by Positive Women Victoria
Date: Friday, 29 August – 4pm AEST
Special Guest: Dr Jillian Lau, HIV clinical researcher from Melbourne
Join us for a powerful and ‘in conversation’ style webinar that unpacks the latest breakthroughs from the IAS2025 Conference on HIV Science, held in Kigali, Rwanda in July.
Hosted by Positive Women Victoria, this live webinar will feature special guest Dr Jillian Lau, HIV clinical researcher from Melbourne who attended IAS2025, and host Heather Ellis from Positive Women Victoria who also attended on an IAS scholarship.
Together, they’ll breakdown the latest research in HIV cure and antiretroviral (ARV) treatments, and explain what it all means for people living with HIV — in plain language.
Following the webinar, stay online for an open and informal discussion in meeting mode (not recorded).
The first part of the webinar will be recorded and made available through Positive Women Victoria’s Health and Wellbeing series.
You can also watch all the IAS2025 recorded sessions for free from 17 September 2025.
