Victorian HIV Cure Volunteer Database Newsletters
Positive Women Victoria is proud to support HIV Cure and the Victorian HIV Cure Volunteer Database, which publishes a regular newsletter for volunteers and anyone interested in HIV cure research.
The website, HIV Cure is developed by NAPWHA in association with the Doherty Institute and the Alfred Hospital, and collates all the latest research news and scientific developments as they happen so that people living with HIV in Australia can be educated, engaged and gain access to the successes being made.
The Victorian HIV Cure Volunteer Database newsletter includes all the latest on HIV cure research and lists studies seeking volunteers. This could be giving a blood and/or tissue samples or being part of a clinical trial. Women’s bodies are different to men’s so it is important that more women participate in HIV cure research, but very few women volunteer. If you live in Melbourne, Victoria and you’d like to be contacted to be a participant in HIV cure research or if you’d like to receive the newsletter, you can sign up to join the Victorian Volunteer HIV Cure database
What an extraordinary opportunity; to be involved in a clinical trial for a HIV cure! “A CURE!” The words I didn’t think I would hear in my lifetime. I am forever grateful to these incredible doctors and research teams working so hard towards this goal for me and people like me.
