Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) develops through accumulation of fat in the liver. A growing body of research shows that people with HIV, particularly if they are overweight, are more likely to develop fatty liver disease. Researchers have found that both HIV-infection itself and combination antiretroviral therapy (cART) can contribute to the development of NAFLD in various ways. Only weight reduction, exercise and a healthy diet are considered to be an effective therapy for all patients with NAFLD.
This webinar will be recorded and if you register the recording link will be emailed to you. Please share the registration link with your networks.
